Rossana Varna

Chief Director of the Digital Port, Business Intelligence and Digital Transition Staff

A degree in Political and Social Science.

She started her career in 1980 as Computer Programmer and Analyst at the Port Authority of Savona, with a focus on software development and on Information and Communications Technology management.

Over the years she focused on IT projects in the management of the logistics supply chain, and subsequently was actively involved in the coordination of the IT solutions of Savona’s port community. In 2011 she was nominated Director of Information and Communications Technology and of the Quality Control and Environmental Management Systems.
During her mandate, the Port Authority attained the UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 and UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 certifications as a result of the high standard of quality and environmental control. She also pursued her firm commitment to the coordination of the development of the Port Community System platform.

Since March 2017 Rossana Varna is Director of the newly established Port Authority of the Western Ligurian Sea, and flanks the Chief Director in the IT and Management Systems Sector.

Rossana Varna is also licensed as a Port Facility Security Officer.
