How to obtain an amateur fisherman's permit for the Genoa basin

To apply for an "amateur fisherman" permit for the Genoa basin, it is first necessary to download Form D (pdf - 98.15 Kb ) from the authority’s website. The above form must then be filled in and printed out, attaching a copy of the applicant's identity card. If this is the first issue, a 16 Euro stamp must also be attached.

The cost of the permit is 50 Euros and it is valid for 30 months from the date of issue. To apply for a permit, simply go with all the material indicated above to the Port Registry Office of Ponte dei Mille in Genoa at the Piazzale Superiore di Stazioni Marittime (Harbour Stations Upper Square) from Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon.

It is useful to remember that permits for amateur fishermen are personal and issued in limited numbers, on the basis of applications completed by filling in Form D (pdf - 98.15 Kb ).

The permit allows the holder to go to the breakwaters, only at authorised points, using the boat service departing from the berths located at the Falcone - Borsellino dock located in the Porto Antico area and at the Marina di Genova Sestri Ponente Molo Camillo Luglio, and to carry out amateur fishing activities according to the applicable ordinances issued by the local Harbour Master's Office.
