The construction works at Genoa’s cruise terminal press ahead as jet grouting operations are underway in the final phase of the retrofit and renovation of the Ponte dei Mille western quay wall.

High-speed jets of water-cement grout are injected across the rods positioned in the ground to improve the soil physical properties and strengthen the quay wall, as dredging operations progress simultaneously alongside.
At this stage, Stazioni Marittime Genoa Cruise Terminal is on track to accommodate the next-generation ultra-large cruise vessels, including the MSC World-Class fleet.
