The Ports of Genoa made their debut at Breakbulk Middle East, the region’s leading trade fair dedicated to the heavy lift and project cargo sector, hosted in Dubai from 4 to 6 February 2026 and now celebrating its tenth edition.
A key fixture in the Middle East market sector calendar, the event brought together more than 200 exhibitors from over 125 countries and welcomed approximately 10,000 participants. It provided a unique platform to showcase the full range of services offered by the Ports of Genoa and Savona-Vado in the breakbulk, heavy machinery and yachting supply chain industry.
The Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority management was flanked by Terminal Messina, Terminal San Giorgio and the Finsea Group, key players of a dynamic port cluster who over the years have acquired a justified reputation for handling difficult project and heavy-lift cargo requiring specific expertise.
Participation at Breakbulk Middle East offered an excellent networking opportunity for the Ports of Genoa to consolidate trade relations with Middle East and the Indian subcontinent — fast-growing markets of strategic importance for project cargo and non-containerised traffic.
Over the course of the three-day event, the port cluster presented a comprehensive portfolio of logistic solutions for oversized and conventional cargo, in support of imports and exports to/from the industrial heartlands of Northern Italy and Southern Europe.
