Save the date: Ports of Genoa International Seminar “Un mare di svizzera”, Lugano, 14 March 2018

The Gotthard and Loetschberg rail tunnels will be joined by Monte Ceneri (2021) and the Terzo Valico, the third railway line across the Apennines (2022), capable of accommodating a train length of 750m along the Rhine Alpine Corridor. Whilst ongoing public and private investments further cater to the new market requirements to accommodate the ultra-large container ships.

Thanks to the aforesaid achievements, the Port of Genoa will be more competitive to serve the European markets beyond the Alps, starting from Switzerland.

Within this framework, the Ports of Genoa have organised an International Seminar which brings together EU, Italian and Swiss stakeholders and policymakers to discuss how to promote and support investments, trade and employment along the Southern part of the Rhine Alpine Corridor.

The event will take place on Wednesday, 14 March 2018, at the new Le Lac Conference Centre in Lugano, Switzerland from 09:30 hrs to 13:30 hrs.
