Road-haulage: New digital PCS E-port services, Data exchange digitalisation in the Port of Genoa presses ahead with the introduction of automated gate systems for road-hauliers. As of today, truckers can benefit from a renewed mobile App, with a range of digital services which provide updated information on the status of the shipment and on access to the port terminal The completion of the implementation of the PCS E-port is vital to the creation of a seamless supply chain in which the Port of Genoa plays a central role and provides a platform across which all the activities linked to incoming/outgoing trucks will be digitalised, thereby eliminating the interaction, required in the exchange of paper documents, between truck drivers and gate control staff. This system will be extended to the Port of Savona across the future integration of the PCS in the National Logistics Platform to be shortly adopted by the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority.
