Project
The project calls for the installation of a core software platform that manages rail operations and features a computerised tracking system which monitors the movement of rail cars within the terminal. The objective is to improve efficiency, overall productivity and safety in compliance with recent EU legislation. The system interfaces with the national railway network and the adjacent ZI rail facility in Vado Ligure, and has been designed to supply real-time data on the rail terminal, thereby optimising the scheduling of train arrivals at the port. In addition, a reduction in secondary rail operations and loading/unloading processing times contributes to an improvement in the protection of the environment.
