Port Authority
Port Stakeholder Body

In compliance with Article 11 bis of Italian Law 84/94, introduced by Italian Legislative Decree 169/2016, the Port Stakeholder Body brings together delegates from the key stakeholder categories of the port community, providing a platform for a consultation on a broad range of topics:

  • The adoption of the Port Authority Masterplan;
  • The adoption of the Three-Year Operational Plan;
  • The identification of the levels of services provided within the ports the Port Authority that may affect the overall functionality and operability of the ports;
  • The proposed budget and balance-sheet;
  • The composition of the instruments referred to in Article 9, comma 5, letter l).

 

 

Port Authority
Advisory Commission

Article 15 of Italian Law No. 84 of 28 January 1994, as amended by Italian Legislative Decree No. 169 of 4 August 2016 and rectified by Italian Legislative Decree No. 232 of 13 December 2017, calls for the establishment of an advisory commission in each port. Specifically:

  • By decree of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, an advisory commission shall be established in each port, consisting of five delegates of the workers from the terminal operating companies, a delegate of the workers of the Port Authority, and a representative of each of the following categories of stakeholders operating in the port: shipping lines; shipyards; companies referred to in Articles 16 and 18; freight-forwarders; shipping agents and shipbrokers; road hauliers operating in the port.
  • The commission referred to in paragraph 1 shall be endowed with advisory functions regarding the granting, suspension or revocation of authorisations and concessions referred to in Articles 16, 17 and 18, in addition to the organisation of port labour, organisational structure of the private companies, port labour pools, and vocational training.
