Permission and shipbuilding

Authorisations for the SHIPBUILDING sector - Regulation approved by AGP Decree no.711 of 11 June 2007

COMPANY CERTIFICATION

In order to obtain authorisation to carry out shipbuilding activities, the applicant will have to produce an application on legal paper and prove that he/she meets the requirements of APG Decree no. 711 of 11 June 2007 (pdf - 570.36 Kb ).

The Regulation applies to all works of construction, preparation, conversion, repair, demolition and specialist work on board ships and/or recreational boats as per the law of 18 July 2005, n.171 and subsequent amendments, of floats in general in the Port of Genoa with the exception of recreational boats. (Title 1, Article 1 Scope).

The following is a list of the documentation required to file an application for the purposes of this Directive:

Release

- Application (doc - 33 Kb ) on Company letterhead paper with affixed stamp of € 16.00 indicating:
- all personal data relating to the Company;
- the location of the workshop.
- Declaration of turnover (doc - 39 Kb ) relating to the main activity carried out in the Port of Genoa during the 24 months preceding the application.
- Certificates of incorporation and articles of association, filed with the Commercial Registry of the competent Civil Court as certified copies. For companies set up as cooperatives, in addition to the documentation indicated above, registration in the Prefectural Register of Cooperatives or in the General Register of Cooperatives is required. (Article 7(2)(b)(2) of the Regulation referred to above).
-Corporate self-certification (doc - 82 Kb ) on company letterhead paper, dated and signed by the legal representative and by the obliged parties, produced in original and accompanied by an identity document;
-Anti-Mafia declaration (pdf - 212.27 Kb ) (D.P.R. n.445 of 28.12.2000) issued by the obliged parties, accompanied by a copy of the subscribers’ identity documents.

Renewal

-Application  (doc - 30 Kb ) on Company letterhead paper with affixed stamp of € 16.00 indicating:
1. all personal data relating to the Company;
2. the location of the workshop.
-Corporate self-certification (doc - 82 Kb ) carried out during the year of reference relative to the application.
-Corporate self-certification (pdf - 212.27 Kb ) on the company's headed paper, dated and signed by the legal representative and by the obliged parties, produced in original.
-Anti-Mafia declaration (pdf - 212.27 Kb ) (D.P.R. n.445 of 28.12.2000) issued by the obliged parties, accompanied by a copy of the subscribers’ identity documents.

PROVISIONAL AUTHORISATION

APG Decree no. 711 of 11 June 2007 approves the Regulations for the Shipbuilding Sector of the Port of Genoa.

Provisional authorisations for work on board may be granted to applicants who do not hold a company licence, for a period of validity limited to the duration of work on board the vessel and in any case not exceeding a maximum of one month, which may be renewed.

The following is a list of the documentation required to apply for work to be carried out on board the ship:

Release

-Application (doc - 31 Kb )  on Company letterhead paper with affixed stamp of € 16.00;
-Form B (pdf - 89.77 Kb ) - Application for valid permits for Port access for companies;
-Form C (pdf - 206.15 Kb )- List of staff and vehicles;
- Corporate self-certification (doc - 101 Kb ) on company letterhead paper, dated and signed by the legal representative and by the obliged parties, produced in original and accompanied by an identity document;
- Contract for the procurement of works assigned by the shipowner or company supplying the order.

In the case of subcontractors, in addition to all the above documentation, a letter must be produced from the Shipowner or the Contract Manager, authorising the Contractor (indicate company name) to entrust part of the work to another company (indicate company name).

Renewal

Before the expiry of the previously granted Provisional Authorisation, it is necessary to present the following:
- Application (doc - 31 Kb ) on Company letterhead paper;
- Form B (pdf - 89.77 Kb )- Application for valid permits for Port access for companies;
- Form C pdf - 206.15 Kb )- List of staff and vehicles;

Provisional Authorisations will be issued to Companies or Enterprises that have been registered with the Chamber of Commerce for at least 12 months.

When issuing the Provisional Authorisation, the company is required to pay a fee for each month, or a fraction thereof, of the duration of the work on board the ship for which Authorisation has been issued.

Payment must be made upon presentation of an invoice which will be sent by e-mail by the undersigned Authority.

The Renewal will involve the same costs and the same payment procedure as the issue of the Provisional Authorisation, excluding stamp duty of € 16.00.

- Form A1 regarding the certificate of posting of EU workers for each employee who is to operate on board the ship.
