New Road Construction: Via della Superba

Via della Superba, which cuts across the Sampierdarena Basin, is set to be upgraded with the construction of a new viaduct dedicated to heavy-goods vehicles, accessing the port directly from the Genoa Airport motorway exit across the new Ponente Port Gate. The project has been designed to ease simultaneously both inner port and urban traffic congestion, and improve road access to the cargo terminals located in Genoa-Sampierdarena.
The project forms part of a wide-ranging plan to improve overland accessibility to the Port of Genoa.
